Modern Salon Movement at Monocle Café

The Modern Salon Movement is a curated intellectual gathering, bringing together a select group of individuals in a salon-style format. We encourage deep discussions and the exploration of thought-provoking topics that lie beyond the mainstream.

After holding salons across numerous European cities, we are delighted to invite you to a special edition of the Modern Salon Movement, co-hosted with the Canadian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in celebration of its 50th anniversary. The salon will take place on Thursday, June 11th, at 18:30 at Monocle Café on Dufourstrasse in Zürich.

Each of our Intellectual Salons explores a different theme, with this gathering focused on “Threshold” – those liminal moments where one state gives way to another, where lines are crossed and new chapters begin. In honor of five decades of Canadian-Swiss friendship, a quiet Canadian thread will run through the evening’s conversations and the choice of speakers.

Please join us to reclaim the timeless art of human connection. It’s an opportunity to engage in meaningful, face-to-face conversation and share your perspectives in a space where dialogue flows freely.

A Salonnière will guide the evening, facilitating discussion and exchange between our guest speakers, who come from diverse and unexpected backgrounds and bring contrasting perspectives on “Threshold”.

Tickets are CHF 40 for members of the Canadian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and CHF 55 for non-members, and include drinks throughout the evening. Due to limited space, spots will be allocated in order of registration. Dress Code: Smart Casual. Chatham House rules apply.
